NEARLY 2 HOURS MEETING HELD WITH PMG (MM) YESTERDAY (i.e. 09.09.2014) EVENING FROM 17.45 HRS TO DISCUSS ISSUES PERTAINING TO AMSD, MUMBAI-400099.

Following Union Office bearers met Shri V K Gupta, PMG (MM), Maharashtra Circle, Mumbai and discussed various issues causing unrest among the staff of AMSD, Mumbai-400099.

The details are as follows.


1. Accumulation of processed mails at SPCC, Mumbai TMO Point. PMG (MM) was requested to kindly arrange direct disposal of closed bags from Agripada by preparation of way bills (sector/flight wise) at Agripada itself instead at SP TMO and in turn PMG (MM) also assured to look into the issue of whether Blue Dart vehicle can pick up the bags directly from Agripada instead from SP TMO.

2. Segregation of all accumulated bags at SP TMO to avoid re -handling of bags in each set.

3. Shifting of BNPL SP Hub from Agripada, Mumbai-400011 location to Dadar or Sion or AMPC. PMG (MM) though did not refused for the proposal directly but has expressed his concern regarding space requirement at Dadar and Sion and also on the aspect of loading and unloading. But Divisional Union suggested that AMPC, Mumbai is an ideal location for BNPL SP Hub being near to the Airport and also with all other amenities and infrastructure. In r/o AMPC location PMG (MM) expressed his concerned over the ventilation problem and non availability of AC. But since the present staff is well aware of the situation and is working over there the Union suggested that it is a better place than Agripada and hence all other issues stands secondary and can be solved with a dialogue in due course. The matter will be further pursued by the union.

4. Issues connected with off loaded bags due to security reasons and their disposal were also discussed.

5. Shifting of SP TMO to previous A-Zone location was also discussed. During this PMG (MM) expressed his query related to many issues which the union assured to look into and revert back with full detailed plan.

6. Repatriation of AMSD Staff deputed to BNPL SP Hub Agripada, Mumbai-400011. PMG (MM) assured to repatriate all the AMSD Staff deployed to Agripada for liquidation of mails within a day or two .

7. Divisional Union requested PMG (MM) to direct SSRM, AMSD to hold discussions with the Divisional Unions before taking any major decisions pertaining to Staff Diversion since the Divisional Union has co-operated with the administration on previous occasions also and is ready to co-operate ahead if there say is also heard before taking any decision.

8. PMG (MM) invited suggestions regarding MMS Schedules and has asked the R-III Divisional Union to participate in the special meeting in c/w the same to be held shortly after receipt of date from the R-IV Union.

9. PMG (MM) showed the Divisional Union the rough idea & sketch of major structural changes to be incorporated in SPCC, Mumbai for effective space management and to meet the present operational requirement.

10. Overall the PMG (MM) interacted with the Divisional Union with a very frank attitude and invited more suggestion for betterment of our services. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks.
